Some of you may know by now and others may not, Elizabeth went to the hospital last night because she had not felt the baby kick since the afternoon. She wanted to make sure that everything was ok so she and Jesse headed off to Mary Birch in San Diego for a check up. Around midnight Jesse called home to inform us that the baby had a good heart beat but that the doctors still wanted to do more tests. Around 2:30 AM Jesse called again and let us know that Elizabeth had just come out of an emergency C-Section and that she was recovering and the baby was down in the NICU. Immediately prior to the C-Section doctors had been trying to stimulate the baby but after 30 minutes of stimulas he still was not responding and that called for an emergency C-Section. By 7 AM this morning, Baby Timothy, still was not responding to any stimulation but his lungs are developed pretty good for a 30 week old. He came out at 2 lbs, 15 oz and was around 16 inches long, not bad for a little guy who wasn't scheduled for delivery until December 7th. As I write this blog entry Baby Timothy was still not responding to stimulation but did give a little kick while taking a bath. We are still waiting for test results to come in this evening and we will keep this blog updated with any changes and news. Please keep Elizabeth, the Gonzalez's and especially Baby Timothy in your prayers as often as possible.
As of right now Elizabeth is trying to regain her strength so that she can spend most of her time down in the NICU with Timothy so she is limiting her visitation time to resting. She is expected to be in the hospital for at least 3-4 days but we will be showing her this blog and your words of encouragement everyday.

Elizabeth and Jesse, I can't think of any words other than to say that I am so sorry this happened. Some people, including babies are not meant for this world and so they are called back to our Lord. Timothy is with God, no suffering or pain. Your faith will be your strength.

Here in Colorado I heard about Baby Timothy's birth via the internet from a mutual friend in California.For over 20 years I have been blessed to be a newborn nursery and NICU RN. I am so sad for your loss of your little boy. It is comfort to know he is right now in our Father's care, alive, real and complete.. It will be an especially glorious moment to see and hold Timothy when you all reach Heaven. I am praying for your heartache between now and then, that God's presence and love are real to you all as never before.
